 Philippe Lambinet is Executive Vice President and General Manager of STMicroelectronics’ Home Entertainment & Displays Group and has held this position since August 2007. He is a member of ST’s Corporate Strategic Committee and also has responsibility for the Company’s site of Grenoble, France.
Lambinet joined Thomson-EFCIS, a predecessor company to STMicroelectronics, in 1980, to work as an Application Engineer and then in product engineering. In 1990, he took charge of design and marketing for the Company’s Mixed Signal Semicustom Products. In 1997, Lambinet was promoted to Group Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Video Division, where he brought ST to become the leading supplier of integrated circuits for set-top boxes. From 2001 to 2007, Lambinet served as Chief Operating Officer and later as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Advanced Digital Broadcast Group, one of ST’s customers in the digital home entertainment arena.
Philippe Lambinet was born in Le Mans, France, in 1957, and graduated with a degree in Electronics from the Paris Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité.
